This past week, part of the Effusion team traveled to Texas for the Mind Your Own Business conference organized by HOW Magazine. It was a chance to exchange ideas with other creative-industry professionals and learn best practices for design businesses from experienced experts. It was also a great forum for reinforcing what we already know:

WE ARE HIRED FOR THE WAY WE THINK

One thing we tell clients is that great design isn’t about pretty pictures (though we’re really good at that). Great design has a purpose. That purpose is to help them reach their specific goals and objectives…to help them succeed in business. Great design merges creative (nonlinear, emotional, intuitive) thinking with the linear, logical, analytical business strategy thinking for successful marketing campaigns.
